A little about me

I’ve been doing hair for over twenty years, and for the last several I’ve focused only on extensions. I started as a young mom getting through cosmetology school, worked my way up in small salons, and eventually built my own clientele. Specializing was a scary leap, but it’s the best decision I’ve made in my career.


How I work

I design and install extensions, then color, cut, and style them so everything blends together. I work with fusion, beaded row and IBE wefts, toppers, and closures, and I choose the method based on you, not on what’s easiest. Every client starts with a consultation. We talk about your hair, your goals, and your lifestyle, and I’ll always tell you honestly what will and won’t work.


Why I do it

The quality of extension work out there frustrates me. Too many women pay for a big investment and leave with hair that doesn’t feel or look right. I want every client to get exactly what she paid for, from the hair to the application to the care afterward.


Training and credentials

I’m Cold & Thermal Fusion, IBE certified and Rich Stylists certified, and I’m certified by Rich Stylists to run our own training. Every stylist on our team, from apprentice to pro, completes our in-house certification before working on clients. I love teaching, and seeing a stylist light up when she nails it for a client is my favorite part of the job.


Beyond the chair

I’m originally from Minnesota, and I moved to Colorado for the people, the sunshine, and a lot fewer bugs. I’ve raised my family here, and Lone Tree feels like home.

Junior Stylist 


Meet Adison O'Donnell, a talented and fully licensed Junior Stylist who brings fresh energy and meticulous precision to the salon chair. Having spent over a year honing her craft through an immersive apprenticeship under the expert guidance of Jaclyn Rae, Adison has elevated her foundational skills to deliver stunning, modern results.


Adison excels in custom coloring, cutting, and beautiful styling. However, her unique niche lies in the highly technical world of extension care and integration.


While she frequently assists with hair extension services, Adison's standout specialty is working her magic on hair that already features extensions. Treating and altering extension hair requires a completely different approach than natural hair, and Adison is a master at navigating these nuances:


  • Seamless Blending: She possesses the specialized cutting techniques required to blend natural hair seamlessly into extensions, removing harsh lines for an undetectable, flowing finish.
  • Custom Extension Coloring: She understands the complex chemistry needed to expertly color both natural hair and extension hair so they perfectly match and tone together.
  • Signature Styling: She knows exactly how to style, wave, and finish extension-enhanced hair to ensure it looks beautifully flawless and effortlessly natural without damaging the wefts or bonds.

Kynslee Orness

Hair Extensionist Apprentice


Meet Kynslee Orness, an apprentice hair extensionist who came to Alchemy fresh out of school with a passion to learn about hair extensions.


Kynslee is working toward her place as a Junior Extensionist. Along the way she supports the team in the studio and does her own installs with wefts and fusion.


She is learning in a studio that handles every stage of a set of extensions: plan, install, color, cut and style, maintain, and remove. Every stylist at Alchemy, from apprentice to pro, goes through our in-house certification or sent for more training, and Kynslee is building her skills with the team beside her.

  • Weft installs: Her own installs, done by Kynslee.
  • Fusion installs: Her own installs, done by Kynslee.
  • Studio support: Working alongside the team on the day-to-day of extension work.

Whether she is assisting on a larger extension project or installing a set of her own, Kynslee works under the standard Jaclyn set for the whole studio.

 Extension certifications come from the hair brands themselves. We hold several, and we now train on our own brand, Alchemy Hair Extensions. We use other brands only for specialized hair orders, when one gives you a better result. 

Rich Stylist certified

 A group of seasoned extension professionals who meet, train and collaborate on all things extensions. We are certified by Rich Stylist to run our own training. 

Alchemy - Our own certification

 Every Alchemy stylist, from apprentice to pro, completes our in-house certification, with hundreds of hours of practice before working on clients.
